How Our Production Process Works
Step 1: Pre-Production
Pre-Production is where we plan all the details for the video production.
What goes into Pre-Production?
- Concept Development: This involves brainstorming ideas, creating a storyline, and developing a concept for the video.
- Scriptwriting: Writing the script, which includes dialogue, narration, and any necessary visual descriptions.
- Storyboarding/Moodboarding: Creating a visual representation of the script through sketches or digital illustrations and styled examples to plan out the sequence and look/feel of the shots.
- Casting: Selecting actors or presenters for the video, if applicable.
- Location Scouting: Finding and securing suitable filming locations.
- Scheduling: Planning the logistics of the shoot, including dates, times, and resource allocation.
- Budgeting: Estimating and allocating funds for various aspects of production.
Step 2: Production
Once the pre-production work has been completed and approved we move into the production phase.
What goes into Production?
- Filming: Capturing footage according to the script and storyboard.
- Directing: Guiding actors, crew, and camera operators to achieve the desired vision.
- Set Design: Arranging props, sets, and backgrounds to enhance the visual appeal of the video.
- Lighting and Sound Setup: Ensuring proper lighting and sound quality during production.
- Capturing B-Roll: Filming supplementary footage to add depth and context to the main story of the video.
- Monitoring: Overseeing the shoot to ensure everything is going according to plan and making necessary adjustments as needed.
Step 3: Post-Production
Following the direction from the Pre-Production phase and the footage from the Production phase, our editors work at finalizing the video.
What goes into Post-Production?
- Editing: Reviewing and selecting the best footage, and arranging it according to the script.
- Adding Graphics and Effects: Incorporating titles, animations, visual effects, and other graphics to enhance the video.
- Sound Design: Mixing and mastering audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects.
- Colour Grading: Adjusting the colour and tone of the footage to achieve a consistent and aesthetically pleasing look.
- Review and Revisions: Collaborating with clients to review the initial cut and make any necessary revisions.
- Finalization: Exporting the finished video in the desired format and resolution for distribution.
