How Our Photo Process Works

Step 1: Pre-Production

Pre-Production is where we plan all the details about your photo shoot.

What goes into Pre-Production?

  • Concept Development: Brainstorming and developing the creative concept or idea for the photoshoot.

  • Planning: Creating a detailed plan for the shoot, including shot lists, mood boards, and reference images.

  • Location Scouting: Finding and securing suitable locations for the photoshoot, whether indoor or outdoor.

  • Casting: Selecting models or subjects for the photoshoot, if applicable.

  • Styling: Choosing wardrobe, props, and accessories that align with the concept and enhance the visual appeal of the photos, if applicable.

  • Scheduling: Planning the logistics of the shoot, including dates, times, and resource allocation.

  • Equipment Preparation: Ensuring all necessary photography equipment, such as cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories, are ready for the shoot.

Step 2: Production

Production is when we take everything that was determined during the Pre-Production and put it into action. 

 

What goes into Production?

 

  • Photography: Capturing images according to the planned shot list and creative direction.

  • Directing: Providing guidance and direction to models, if applicable, to achieve the desired poses and expressions.

  • Lighting Setup: Arranging and adjusting lighting equipment to achieve the desired mood and ambiance for each shot, if applicable.

  • Composition: Framing shots and adjusting angles to create visually compelling images.

  • Monitoring: Reviewing images as they are captured to ensure they meet the creative vision and making necessary adjustments as needed.

Step 3: Post-Production

During the Post-Production step, we touch up the images to get you the best photos possible.

 

What goes into Post-Production?

 

  • Editing: Selecting the best images from the shoot and performing basic edits such as cropping, straightening, and exposure adjustments.

  • Retouching: Refining images by removing blemishes, adjusting skin tones, and enhancing overall appearance while maintaining a natural look.

  • Colour Grading: Adjusting colour tones and hues to achieve a consistent and aesthetically pleasing overall look.

  • Final Touches: Fine-tuning details such as sharpening, noise reduction, and final adjustments to ensure the highest quality images.

  • Review and Revisions: Collaborating with clients to review the edited photos and make any necessary revisions or adjustments.

  • Delivery: Providing the final edited images to the client in the desired format and resolution for their intended use.
