Pre-Production is where we plan all the details before we take flight.

What goes into Pre-Production?

Concept Development: Defining the purpose and objectives of the drone production, whether it's for filmmaking, aerial photography, surveying, or other applications.

Storyboarding (if applicable): Creating a visual storyboard to plan the sequence of shots and visualize the desired aerial perspectives.

Location Scouting: Identifying and securing suitable locations for drone operations, considering factors such as airspace regulations, terrain, and weather conditions.

Flight Planning: Planning the flight path and waypoints for the drone, taking into account safety, legal requirements, and the desired shots.

Risk Assessment: Assessing potential risks and hazards associated with the drone production, such as obstacles, environmental conditions, and proximity to people or property.

Permitting and Authorization: Obtaining necessary permits, licenses, or authorizations from relevant authorities, especially for commercial drone operations.

Once the pre-production work has been completed and approved we can take flight!

What goes into Production?

Drone Operation: Piloting the drone to capture aerial footage or imagery according to the planned flight path and shot list.

Camera Operation: Adjusting camera settings and angles to capture the desired shots, whether it's video footage, photos, or data for mapping and surveying.

Monitoring and Safety: Monitoring the drone's flight status, battery levels, and GPS signal to ensure safe and smooth operation.

Coordination with Crew: Communicating with ground crew or other team members to coordinate shots, manage equipment, and address any issues that arise during production.

Once the drones land, we move into the Post-Production phase.

What goes into Post-Production?

Footage Review and Selection: Review the captured footage or imagery to select the best shots for further processing.

Editing: Editing the footage to create a cohesive narrative or sequence, adding transitions, music, and other elements to enhance the storytelling.

Colour Grading: Adjusting colour tones, contrast, and saturation to achieve a consistent and visually appealing look across all footage.

Stabilization and Enhancement: Using software tools to stabilize shaky footage, correct lens distortion, and enhance image quality as needed.

Finalization: Exporting the edited footage or processed data in the desired formats for distribution, whether it's for online sharing, presentations, or further analysis.
